White Tara (Drolma in Tibetan) is a feminine manifestation of enlightened energy; she is very popular in Tibetan Buddhism. There are 21 manifestations of Tara of which the most important ones are White Tara and Green Tara. White Tara typically appears with seven eyes in head, hands and feet and she is seated in full lotus position. Recitation of the mantra of White Tara has a healing effect on body and mind. The mantra is: OM TARE TUTARE TURE MAMA AYUR PUNYE GYANA PUSHTIN KURUYE SOHA.
